The magic that Alabama Baseball brought to Hoover ran out on Saturday, as they fell to Florida in an elimination game Saturday morning, 11-6 at the SEC Baseball Tournament.
Alabama erased two Florida leads before the Gators ran away with the game in the 9th inning.
After jumping on Alabama 4-0 before the Tide’s first at-bat, Alabama responded by tying the game 4-4 at the end of the 1st. The first Alabama comeback was headlined by a three-run home run by Zane Denton.
Over the next two innings, Florida would add two more runs. Once again, Alabama responded by tying the game yet again. Down 6-4 in the 3rd inning, Drew Williamson hit a two-run blast to center field to even the score at 6-6.
Florida regained the lead in the 6th inning, and ran away in the 9th inning by posting four runs to secure the win.
