Mets, Pirates To Swap Daniel Vogelbach, Colin Holderman

5:37pm: Pittsburgh is receiving reliever Colin Holderman in return, Heyman reports (on Twitter).

5:36pm: The Mets are acquiring first baseman/designated hitter Daniel Vogelbach from the Pirates, tweets Jon Heyman of the MLB Network. Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Twitter link) first reported the sides were nearing a deal that would send Vogelbach to Queens.

New York has been on the hunt for another addition to the lineup. Team president Sandy Alderson told the New York Post last week they were seeking an upgrade at designated hitter. Vogelbach has emerged in various reports over the past few days as a target, although Heyman adds that New York is still looking to add offense over the next ten days.
