Andy Pages Connects For A Pair Of Home Runs

Prospect Report: Dodgers' Stone Hammers Hitters

Andy Pages, OF, Dodgers: The Dodgers No. 7 prospect went deep twice during yesterday’s matinee in Tulsa. He was 0-for-3 on the night entering the eighth inning before homering in the eighth and ninth. His home run in the ninth came off of Griffin Roberts with the bases loaded. It’s been an inconsistent 2022 campaign for the power-hitting outfielder as he’s hitting .236/.339/.472 across 128 Double-A games. His home run total now stands at 26 entering the final days of the season, his second consecutive season with 25 or more home runs.

Robert Robertis, OF, Blue Jays: Just 19 years old, prior to last Friday, Robertis had just five games above the complex level. So far in Double-A the 19-year-old has been impressive, going 4-for-11 with two home runs, a double, five runs and five runs driven in. Robertis collected a pair of hits in Wednesday night’s contest, his second multi-hit game with the Fisher Cats. He is a name guaranteed to gain some helium heading into the offseason thanks to his strong Double-A showing.

Ceddanne Rafaela, OF, Red Sox: One of the minor leagues’ biggest breakouts in 2022, Rafaela went 2-for-6 with a grand slam on Wednesday night. The standout defensive outfielder now has 21 home runs and 27 stolen bases this season, making Rafaela one of 21 players in minor league baseball to surpass the 20-home run and 20-stolen base mark this season. Rafaela, however, is a member of an even more exclusive club. He’s one of four players in the minor leagues this season with a .300 average, 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases.

Sal Frelick, OF, Brewers: Promoted to Triple-A Nashville at the beginning of August, Frelick has performed well, hitting .362/.441/.447 entering last night’s game. While Frelick has shown plus contact and on-base ability, he has yet to homer as a member of the Sound. That changed last night as Frelick went deep twice, first a two-run shot to the right field stands in the second, followed by a solo shot in the seventh. In the process Frelick extended his on-base streak to 31 games. In fact Frelick has reached base in 35 of 36 games at Triple-A.

Anthony Volpe, SS, Yankees: A slow start over the first two months saw Volpe hit just .203/.311/.373 over the first 40 games. In the 79 games since, the Yankees top prospect has turned things around in a big way. Since June 1, Volpe has hit .279/.367/.523 with 15 home runs and 29 steals, and he’s climbed from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Last night Volpe…
