Justyn-Henry Malloy Hits First Triple-A Homer

Shuster Strikes Out A Dozen Trash Pandas

Justyn-Henry Malloy, OF, Braves: In a year when the Braves have gotten big gains from rookies Michael Harris II, Vaughn Grissom and Spencer Strider, it looks like Malloy might be the next on the way. Malloy’s season has been outstanding, and his Triple-A debut adds another highlight. The 22-year-old Georgia Tech alum went 1-for-3 against Memphis, including a massive home run. The blast was his 17th of the season, which has included stops at High-A and Double-A.

Connor Norby, 2B, Orioles: With Double-A Bowie’s season over, the Orioles bumped Norby to Triple-A. In his first game, he proved he belonged. Against Durham, the East Carolina product went 3-for-5 with a home run. The longball was Norby’s 26th of the season, tying new teammate Jordan Westburg for the most in Baltimore’s bustling system.

Zach Neto, SS, Angels: The Angels’ first-round pick has been dynamic since turning pro. The Campbell alum zoomed quickly to Double-A and finished his year with an .857 OPS between High-A Tri-City and Double-A Rocket City, where he’s currently fighting for a Southern League championship. In the first game of the Trash Pandas’ division series, Neto went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles as well as two RBIs and two runs.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF, Cubs: In Brennen Davis, Kevin Alcantara and Crow-Armstrong, the Cubs have an intriguing group of potential center field prospects. Crow-Armstrong took center stage on Tuesday night in an elimination game for South Bend. The 2020 first-round pick who was traded from the Mets to the Cubs in the Javier Baez deal went 3-for-5 and finished a triple shy of the cycle. The home run was his first since Aug. 25.
