The NCAA recently announced a change to the college baseball regionals and super regionals.
The NCAA announced that the home team in every level of the postseason will now be the higher-seeded team. It’s a change that many fans have been anticipating for a long time. It’s a logical change that makes it even more important to try and get that home-field advantage in the regionals because there is a possibility that you could stay at your home field every game until Omaha.
With how good this LSU team has the potential to be, this could be a huge development for them. Jay Johnson could lead the Tigers to a full postseason at Alex Box Stadium in front of the best fans in the country. That starts with having a great regular season and SEC tournament.
We will cross the regional and super regional bridge when we get there. The only way a No. 1 seed wouldn’t play at home for the entirety of the regionals and super regionals is if they lost a coin toss to another No. 1 seed.
