WILMINGTON, N.C. – No. 19 Virginia (2-0) scored all its runs with two outs in an 8-4 win over Ohio (0-2) on Saturday (Feb. 18) at the Hughes Brothers Challenge in Wilmington, N.C. Junior Jake Gelof put the Cavaliers ahead for good, breaking a 3-3 tie in the top of the fourth inning with a two-run, opposite field home run. The long ball was his first of the season and 26th of his career, moving him into a tie for 10th place on UVA’s all-time home run list.

Griff O’Ferrall matched his career high with four hits, in a 4-for-6, two RBI effort at the plate. Kyle Teel, Ethan Anderson and Henry Godbout each had three hits to lead the Cavaliers offensive attack.
