Player of the Week
Cole Evans, Nebraska
Jr. – OF – Grand Island, Neb. – Parkland College

  • Helped Nebraska to three wins including a series sweep of Illinois State on March 10-11
  • Hit .818 at the plate, going 9-for-11 with two home runs and 7 RBI
  • Compiled a slash line of .818/.833/1.63 and an OPS of 2.469
  • Strung together three multiple-hit games and amassed 18 total bases
  • First-time honoree for a Big Ten weekly award

  • Combined with teammate Jake Marshall to record the seventh no-hitter in Rutgers history
  • Earned the save in a 7-0 win over hitless Georgia Southern on March 11 in Statesboro, Ga.
  • Struck out seven batters in four innings of work throwing 60 pitches
  • Helped the Scarlet Knights record their first nine-inning, no-hitter since 1978
  • Earns first-ever Big Ten weekly honor

  • Helped record just the seventh no-hitter in team history

Fr. – 3B/RHP – Whitefish Bay, Wis. – Whitefish Bay

  • Played the field and took the mound as Michigan faced Oakland and participated in the Mike Sansing Classic
  • Started four games at third base, hitting .385 with five hits in 13 at-bats
  • Drove in the winning run on an eighth-inning sacrifice fly in Michigan’s 3-2 win over UAB on March 11
  • Made two pitching appearances, striking out seven with no runs earned while allowing just one hit and two baserunners over 7.1 innings
  • First-time recipient of the Big Ten Freshman of the Week award
