BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Wolfpack softball team dropped its midweek meeting with Campbell, 4-1, Wednesday evening.

With an 0-2 count and two on base, freshman Amanda Hasler hit an infield single and an error by the Camels shortstop allowed her to reach first and her teammates to advance. Fellow freshman Nadia Sykes came in to pinch run for Hasler and Murray scored on a pass ball to get the Pack on the board. The top of the sixth ended with the Pack trailing the Camels 3-1.
Campbell increased the lead back to three in the bottom of the sixth after a single down the right line brought one home.
Redshirt-junior Aisha Weixlmann pitched all seven innings and recorded six strikeouts on the day to record a new season high.
The Pack returns to Dail Stadium to host Boston College for a weekend series. Game one is set for Friday at 6pm on ACCNX.
