Tennessee and Missouri first played in baseball on March 22, 2013 when the Tigers joined the Southeastern Conference.
Tennessee defeated the Tigers, 4-0, in the two schools first meeting at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Tony Vitello was hired as the Vols’ head baseball coach on June 7, 2017. He played at Missouri (2000-02) and was a three-year letterwinner.
The Vols and Tigers have played during the 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 seasons under Vitello as Tennessee’s head coach. Missouri leads the all-time series, 13-14, versus Tennessee.
Tennessee will play at Missouri for a three-game series March 17-19, 2023.
