Baseball Concludes Spring Break With Series at Mercer


MACON, Ga. – Rutgers baseball wraps up its spring break road trip with a three-game series against Mercer in Macon.

The Bears are 13-5 after sweeping Baylor last weekend and picking up a midweek win over Georgia Southern.

Rutgers is currently riding a five-game winning streak that includes a road sweep of Georgia Southern and a midweek road win over Kennesaw State.

On Saturday night at GS, Jake Marshall and Ben Gorski combined for the first 9-inning no-hitter for Rutgers since Gary Malinoski in 1978.

RU will go with the same rotation as last week, with Drew Conover getting the start Friday, true freshman Christian Coppola going on Saturday and Jake Marshall starting on Sunday.

All three games of the series will be broadcast on ESPN+. Frank Malloy will have play-by-play duties for all three , with Phil Cox (Fri/Sat) and Bryce Koon (Sun) providing color commentary.
