WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – For the first time since March 5, the No. 4 Wake Forest baseball team returns to David F. Couch Ballpark to take on Notre Dame in its first home ACC series of the season on March 17-19.

Wake Forest (16-2, 2-1 ACC) has won 16 of its first 18 games for the first time since 2002 and just the third time in program history. Currently, the Deacs are one of six teams in the nation with at least 16 wins this year.

Wake Forest has found success in contests inside The Couch over the last two seasons, posting a 38-7-1 record and outscoring opponents, 446-163, in home games since last year.

The Deacs claimed its first ACC series victory of the season last weekend against Duke inside Durham Bulls Athletic Park, taking the first and final contest of the three-game set against its Big-Four rival.

Fast starts have been one of the major factors to Wake Forest’s early success this year as the Deacs have outscored opponents 87-23 in the opening three innings this season.

Wake Forest’s conference home opener is slated for a Noon first pitch on Friday, March 17 on ACC Network Extra.

The Deacs and Fighting Irish will hit the diamond at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 live on ACC Network, Wake Forest’s first national television broadcast of the season.

The series will wrap up on Sunday, March 19 at 1 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Additionally, fans can tune into an audio streaming broadcast through the Wake Forest Athletics app for all three games.

Stay tuned to the Demon Deacons social media accounts (@WakeBaseball) for all in-game updates and information.
