The Mets optioned top prospect Ronny Mauricio and left-hander Joey Lucchesi to Triple-A Syracuse, the team announced Saturday.

After winning the LIDOM MVP over the winter, Mauricio impressed throughout Mets spring training. The No. 6 prospect in the organization, according to MLB.com, has put his power on full display with four homers and a .922 OPS across 35 at-bats.

Lucchesi, on the other hand, has seen mixed results. Working his way back from Tommy John surgery, he’s made just two appearances in Grapefruit League action. Across two innings of work, he allowed four runs on four hits and three walks.

Lucchesi projects to start the year in Syracuse and serve as Mets rotation depth.

Additionally, Abraham Almonte and Jaylin Davis have been reassigned to minor-league camp.

After joining the Mets recently on a minor-league deal, Davis hit .273 in 10 games. Almonte was having a really strong spring, posting a 1.293 OPS, but he’s currently dealing with a hamstring issue.
