Bulldogs Fall on Sunday in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Mississippi State Bulldogs dropped game three of the series on Sunday to the Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 17-3.
 
Kellum Clark went 2-for-4 with a triple and two-run homer. Hunter Hines went 2-for-2 while also reaching twice on intentional walks. Amani Larry finished with a two-hit day as well.
 
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday as Arkansas State travels to Starkville. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcasted on SECN+.
 

Bottom First
Pitre drew a bases-loaded walk to push across the game’s first run. Hunter Gilliam walked to push across another. Pitre and Burkes scored on a throwing error.

Kellum Clark tripled and then crossed the plate on a passed ball.

Kellum Clark homered to right to bring the Bulldogs within one.

Reuben Church led off the fourth with a solo homer.

Waldschmidt scored from third on a wild pitch. Gray tripled down the right-field line to score two more. Gray scored on a wild pitch.

Bottom Sixth
Waldschmidt hit a two-run homer to left center. Church doubled down the left field line scoring McCoy. Gray doubled to right to score Herrera. Smith scored on an RBI groundout. Pitre singled to center to score Gray. Gilliam drove a two-run homer to right.
