THE FLATS – Despite hanging more runs on No. 5 Clemson (31-1, 8-0 ACC) than any of the Tigers’ previous opponents, Georgia Tech softball (16-14, 2-6 ACC) fell 8-4 to the visiting side on Saturday at Mewborn Field. Junior utility player Sara Beth Allen led the White and Gold at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run. Sophomore outfielder Madison Dobbins also had a solid day at the dish, knocking her team-leading seventh double on the year as she also went 2-for-3.
