Hogan Windish Goes Deep Twice in Loss

AquaSox Announce 2023 Coaching Staff

April 8, 2023 – Northwest League (NWL)Everett AquaSox News Release

EVERETT, WA: Hogan Windish, a seventh-round draft pick in 2022 out of UNC Greensboro, homered twice for the AquaSox who dropped the second game of the series 4-3 to the Eugene Emeralds.

Windish tied things up in the fourth inning with a home run to center field, the first home run of the AquaSox 2023 season. He also tied the game in the eighth inning with a towering homer to left field, but the AquaSox couldn’t keep Eugene off the scoreboard.

Jimmy Glowenke’s single in the ninth inning scored the eventual winning run. Glowenke had three hits and three RBI in the game.

Starter Reid Morgan, making his first appearance in almost two years, was solid. In 4.0 innings of work he struck out four and allowed one unearned run. Luis Curvelo and Peyton Alford both looked very sharp out of the bullpen. Alford struck out four of the five hitters he faced. In total the AquaSox struck out 11 hitters in the game.

In the seventh inning, Erik Stock connected for his first professional hit, a double off the wall, and would later score on a Harry Ford triple.

These two teams meet again on Sunday with a 4:05 first pitch. The AquaSox will send Reid VanScoter to the mound in the finale in hopes of winning the series. Sunday’s game will feature a special pre-game Easter egg hunt for kids 12 and under, and following the game is the AquaSox traditional Sunday Kids Run the Bases.
