Three Named to CSC Academic All-District Team


PITTSBURGH – Three members of the Pitt softball team were named to the 2023 Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators Tuesday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Rachael Fuerst (political science), senior Kayla Lane (media and professional communications), and sophomore Kylie Griggs (marketing) were named to the team. To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and compete in at least 50 percent of the team’s competitions.
 
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.
