NORMAN, Okla. – The California softball team’s postseason run came to an end in the Regional Final against No. 1 Oklahoma on Sunday at Marita Hynes Field .
The Golden Bears (35-21-1) fell behind early in a 16-3, five-inning, loss to the Sooners, who improved to 53-1 on the season.
Tatum Anzaldo helped set the new program single-season record for doubles in the third frame, recording a one-out shot to the wall in left for the Bears’ 81st two-bagger of the year, breaking a record set in 1992 and tied in 2000.
Cal added two more runs in the inning on a Sona Halajian single, driving in Makena Smith and Kacey Zobac.
