MADISON, Wis. – For the second time in her career, Wisconsin softball’s Kayla Konwent earned Third Team All-American honors, announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) this evening.
The now two-time All-American was second on the team with a .377 batting average (6th in B1G) with 46 hits, nine doubles, 37 walks, and 10 home runs. She led the team with 33 RBI and combined for a team leading (2nd in B1G) 1.244 OPS. Her .547 on-base percentage also ranked 11th overall in the NCAA. The Wisconsin native finished her career with a program-best 43 home runs and a career .392 batting average.
Konwent finishes her career as one of the most decorated softball student-athletes in program history. In 2019, Konwent was a unanimous First Team All-American (first First Team All-American in program history), Big Ten Player of the Year, First Team All-Big Ten, and NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team. In total, Konwent is a four-time Great Lakes All-Region First Team, two-time All-Big Ten First Team, and has been named the 2022-23 All-Big Ten Medal of Honor.
