Tennessee graduate Ashley Rogers was voted National Fastpitch Coaches Association Pitcher of the Year following her fifth season with the Lady Vols.
Rogers is the first Tennessee pitcher to win the award. She is also the second SEC pitcher to earn the honor, which was first awarded in 2019.
She helped Tennessee have one of its best seasons in program history. The Lady Vols (51-10, 19-5 SEC) won the 2023 SEC regular-season tournament championships.
Tennessee advanced to the Women’s College World Series after being seeded No. 4 in the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Vols were eliminated in the semifinals by Florida State Monday.
Rogers (20-1) recorded a 0.82 ERA of 0.92, recording 13 complete games, six shutouts, 179 strikeouts and one save in 2023.
