SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced the 2022-23 Tom Hansen Conference Medal Recipients today with All-Americans Dalton Kincaid (football) and Ellessa Bonstrom (softball) earning the recognition for the Utes.

The Conference Medal is awarded annually to each member institution’s outstanding senior male and female student-athlete based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership.

Bonstrom wrapped up her degree in information systems in 2022 as a four-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, also earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District. She won the Utah Athletics 2022-23 Occie Evans Leadership Award, given to the outstanding senior women’s sport athlete who excels in academics, athletics, leadership and community involvement.

On the field, she was a NFCA All-American and a two-time NFCA All-Pacific Region honoree, earning first-team in 2022. The three-time All-Pac-12 performer finished her career as the program record holder in RBIs (178) and walks, also ranking third in home runs (46) and runs scored (167).

In 2023, she helped lead the Utes to its first Women’s College World Series appearance since 1994. She earned D1Softball All-America honors after a season that saw her rank in the top-10 in the Pac-12 in runs, doubles, homers, RBIs, walks, stolen bases and on-base percentage. 

Kincaid earned his degree in business administration in 2023 after being picked in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft (25th overall) to the Buffalo Bills. The Las Vegas, Nev., native was active on the field and in the community, volunteering with local and regional Autism awareness groups, including the Autism Tree Project Foundation.

Kincaid played in 31 games at Utah after transferring from San Diego where he was an FCS All-American in 2019, finishing his time with the Utes with 107 receptions for 1,414 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was a two-time All-Pac-12 selection, earning first-team in honors after a standout 2022 season.
