TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Baseball is set to return to the Frisco College Baseball Classic for the eighth annual playing of the tournament this coming March, setting up an early season test against elite competition. The Wildcats will face off against Alabama, Dallas Baptist, and Indiana in their third go-around in Frisco.
The Wildcats are two-time champions at the Frisco Classic, having won the tournament during both of their previous visits in 2017 and 2021. Across their two prior appearances in the tournament Arizona has gone 6-1, including a perfect 4-0 clean sweep in 2021 en route to their 18th College World Series appearance.
Arizona will open the 2024 Frisco College Baseball Classic against Dallas Baptist on Friday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. MST before continuing competition on Saturday, March 2 at 3:00 p.m. MST against Alabama. The Cats will wrap up their tournament slate against Indiana on Sunday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. MST.
All four teams competing at the 2024 Frisco Classic earned berths in last year’s NCAA Tournament and combined to post a .667 (166-83) winning percentage during the 2023 season.
Tickets can be purchased on a day-by-day basis which includes both games played on the same day or as a weekend package in select seating sections with both reserved and general admission seating options available. Tickets are available at friscoclassic.com. Streaming and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
