EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State baseball head coach Jake Boss Jr. and the Spartan staff will host two camps this fall for high school players.
The first camp is Sunday, Sept. 17, while the second is Sunday, Oct. 1, with both camps at McLane Baseball Stadium and the MSU weight room in Jenison Field House.
The camps will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The MSU Baseball prospect camp is designed to allow each player the opportunity to showcase their entire skill set while being evaluated by the entire Michigan State coaching staff in every aspect. The camp will be split into two sessions, morning and afternoon. The morning session will serve as a pro style workout, where prospects will be evaluated in running the 60-yard dash, as well as fielding, throwing and hitting. There will also be a positional breakdown session where players will receive individual instruction by coaches and current MSU Baseball players. After lunch, the afternoon session will be dedicated to playing games, hitting and an introduction to MSU’s strength and conditioning program. Along with the entire Michigan State coaching staff, there will be several other college coaches in attendance to evaluate players.
