Monica Taylor Named Pitt Softball Director of Operations

PITTSBURGH – Pitt softball head coach Jenny Allard announced the addition of Monica Taylor as the director of softball operations. Taylor will oversee and facilitate the planning and logistics of the program.

“Monica is a great addition to the Pitt Softball Staff,” said Allard. “She brings a lot of operations knowledge and her experience as a coach will be invaluable in her role on our staff.  Additionally, her previous experience working in the ACC conference will be very helpful to the staff this year. We are fortunate to have her.”

Taylor joins the Panther staff after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Harvard. Taylor spent three seasons with NC State prior to arriving in Cambridge, serving as the Wolfpack’s director of operations from 2019-20 before transitioning to an assistant coach for the 2021 season.

The Weaverville, N.C., native played two seasons at UNC Wilmington before finishing her career at Catawba College. As a catcher, Taylor saw action in 105 career games over her four years (33 games at UNCW, 72 at Catawba) and graduated from Catawba in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. She later earned a Master of Arts in liberal studies from NC State in 2020.
