DURHAM – The Blue Devils continue fall ball action on Friday, welcoming East Carolina to Duke Softball Stadium for a 6 p.m. matchup. Duke then hits the road, traveling over to Buies Creek, N.C., to face Campbell at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with the Pirates, 5-1, after meeting for the first time in 2018. The last matchup was in April with Duke sweeping East Carolina in a doubleheader at Duke Softball Stadium. The Blue Devils defeated the Pirates, 11-5, in the opening game before completing the sweep with a 4-3 walk-off win the nightcap.
On Sunday, Duke hits the road to take on Campbell at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C. It will mark the eighth all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Blue Devils leading the series, 6-1. The Blue Devils defeated the Fighting Camels twice last season with back-to-back shutout wins, 7-0 and 11-0, in the Campbell Invitational.
