STARKVILLE – It’s evident that talent continues to be stockpiled in Starkville as Mississippi State has once again earned one of the country’s top recruiting rankings.
The Diamond Dawgs’ most recent recruiting class was tabbed the nation’s 7th best on Tuesday per Baseball America. The rating comes as MSU head coach Chris Lemonis and the Bulldogs have welcomed in an incredibly talented group of freshmen and transfers to a program that has reached the College World Series in three of the last five completed seasons and won the 2021 National Championship. In all, the Bulldogs bring in 27 newcomers.
The Bulldogs feature four Top 100 transfers according to Baseball America and four transfers on the Top 130 D1Baseball Transfer list.
Earlier this fall, the Dawgs were ranked with the 10th best recruiting class by Collegiate Baseball News.
Mississippi State is currently gearing up for the 2023 season with fall ball underway. Fans can get a sneak peak at the Bulldogs this weekend when they travel to Ruston, La. for a fall exhibition contest against Louisiana Tech. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
