Softball Exhibition Against Saint Leo Cancelled Due to Weather

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball team’s first exhibition of the fall against Saint Leo that was scheduled for today has been cancelled due to weather. The two programs will make up the exhibition Thursday, October 19, at 6 p.m.

The Gators next scheduled exhibition will take place Saturday, October 14 at 12 p.m. against Jacksonville inside Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.

In the program’s 27 years, the Gators are coming off their 23^rd overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 17^th-consecutive top-25 national finish. The team also returns eight players from last year’s squad including NFCA Player of the Year and SEC Player of the Year Skylar Wallace as well as All-SEC selections Kendra Falby and Reagan Walsh.

In addition, the program welcomes 11 newcomers that includes seven freshmen and four transfers. The freshman signing class was touted as the nation’s top signing class for the year.
