EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State baseball will hold its 18th Annual First Pitch Dinner on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024 at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing. Tickets are on sale for the event, which will begin at 12 p.m. with a silent auction and player autographs. Lunch and a formal program will follow at 1 p.m.
This year’s event will feature actor, comedian and Emmy Award-winning writer Robert Wuhl as the keynote speaker, while honoring Dr. Tom Dieters as the Alumnus of the Year.
Wuhl has starred in multiple movies including Bull Durham, Cobb, The Hollywood Knights, Batman and Good Morning Vietnam, as well as the creator and star of the television comedy series Arliss.
Dieters was a four-year letterwinner on the Spartan baseball team from 1980-83, earning his bachelor’s degree from MSU in 1983. He is a recipient of the Jack Breslin Lifetime Achievement Award Winner by the MSU Varsity S Club. Dieters is also the founder of “This is Sparta” NIL collective, as well as the Board President at Charitable Gift America. He is also President of Thomas Mitchell & Associates.
