USC Baseball Plays at San Diego, Hosts UC San Diego

THIS WEEK: The USC baseball team plays a pair of midweek contests this week, heading to the University of San Diego to take on the Toreros on Tuesday, and then hosting UC San Diego on Wednesday at LMU. The game on Wednesday is a rescheduling of the teams’ previously scheduled contest that was rained out on Feb. 20.
 
GAME SCHEDULE:
Tuesday – USC at San Diego (San Diego, Calif.), April 2, 6 p.m. (ESPN+)
Wednesday – USC vs. UC San Diego (LMU), April 3, 6 pm (USC Live Stream)
 
BROADCAST INFO: Tuesday’s game at San Diego will be on broadcast on ESPN+ and Wednesday’s home game at LMU will be on the USC Live Stream. Links to the broadcasts are available on the baseball schedule page at USCTrojans.com.

SERIES VS USD: USC is 20-5 all-time against the Toreros, with the teams last playing in 2021. USD won the 2021 midweek matchup in Los Angeles, 8-3. The Trojans’ last win against USD came in 2008 when USC beat the then 17th-ranked Toreros 3-2 in San Diego.
 
SERIES VS UCSD: USC is 2-0 all-time against UC San Diego, with the Trojans picking up wins in 2022 and 2023. The teams played in Los Angeles last season, with USC winning 4-3.
 
LAST WEEK VS OSU: USC won both of its games against then-No. 2 Oregon State this past week, with the finale getting rained out on Saturday. The Trojans won the opener in dramatic fashion, picking up a 2-1 win thanks to a walk-off single from Brayden Dowd in the bottom of the ninth inning. Caden Aoki tossed 6.0 brilliant innings in the start as the USC pitching staff held the Beavers to one run on four hits. It was the first time Oregon State had been held to one or fewer runs since April of 2023.
 
The second game of the series was a blowout for the Trojans, with USC winning 17-4. The Trojans broke the game open with 10 runs in the fifth inning and the USC pitching staff again held the Beavers in check with four runs on six hits. It was the most runs…
