COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland baseball is back at The Bob as it closes out the regular season against Penn State. The two teams last met during the 2023 season in State College, with the Terps taking two out of the three games. Maryland leads the all-time series with a record of 21-16. All three games will stream on B1G+ and air on the Maryland Baseball Network.

Where We Are

  • Maryland (34-19, 10-11 B1G) enters the series after winning the road series against Boston College.
  • The Terps swept the doubleheader on May 11, led by a complete game four-hit performance by Omar Melendez in the game one 8-1 win. The Terps would score six runs in the first inning to take a lead they would not relinquish.
  • In game two, the Terps would score four runs in the fourth and get a quality start from Logan Koester to get a 5-3 win and clinch a series win.
  • Game three was a pitchers duel, which saw freshman Evan Smith go six innings and strikeout five in a 2-1 loss. Chris Hacopian hit his 14th home run of the season in the game three loss, putting him one behind Maxwell Costes for the second-most home runs in a freshman season at Maryland.
