Leading Off… Spartans Clash With Huskers In B1G Battle In Final Regular Season Weekend
• Michigan State baseball wraps up both its four-game homestand at McLane Stadium at Kobs Field and regular-season action by hosting Nebraska in a crucial three-game Big Ten Conference weekend series, Thursday-Saturday, May 16-18 … Two of this weekend’s three MSU games against Nebraska have had time changes after the Big Ten Conference announced that Friday and Saturday’s games will be nationally televised on the Big Ten Network … The series opens on Thursday, May 16 at 6:05 p.m. ET … Game two of the weekend on Friday, May 17 will now start at 5:02 p.m. ET … The series finale and MSU’s regular-season finale on Saturday, May 18 will now start at 12:02 p.m. ET.
• MSU is currently tied for seventh in the B1G standings, needing to finish in the top eight to qualify for the Big Ten Tournament next week in Omaha, while the Huskers enter the weekend in second-place, just a game back from the top spot held by Illinois.
