The Oklahoman
Eight of the nine batters in Oklahoma State’s starting lineup have an on-base-plus-slugging percentage above .811, and the top of the order is particularly dangerous.
Left fielder Nolan Schubart is at the heart of the lineup, typically batting in the third or fourth spot, with two-way star Carson Benge in front of him. Schubart leads the team with 20 home runs and 63 RBI. Benge is second in those categories with 17 and 63, respectively.
Center fielder Zach Ehrhard is the final battler on the roster with an OPS over 1.000. He’s more of a doubles machine with 20 on the season, but he’s also belted 12 homers this season. All three batters have elite eyes. Erhard has 51 walks to 34 strikeouts, Benge is even at 46 apiece and Schubart is sporting a respectable 47-to-59 split.
Benge and shortstop Lane Forsythe are the only Cowboys with double-digit steal attempts this season. Forsythe has only been caught once on 12 attempts.
