Florida baseball’s College World Series Twitter reacts to Kentucky win

Florida baseball’s improbable ascent through the College World Series has been a spectacle to behold. The Gators continued their postseason journey starting on Wednesday morning with a win over the Kentucky Wildcats in a do-or-die matchup between two Southeastern Conference schools.

The ‘Cats were ranked second in the nation at the end of the regular season and were favored to win by most oddsmakers, but the Orange and Blue continued to buck the trend with a 15-4 blowout to send their league rivals home for the summer. Next up for Florida is a rematch with another SEC program, the Texas A&M Aggies.

The Gator Nation celebrated their beloved school’s success on social media in the short time before the second game of the day.
