D1Baseball names Texas A&M pitcher in their Top 5 transfers

Aggies pitcher Issac Morton confirms he will be returning to Aggieland

With the unfortunate news that up-and-coming Texas A&M pitcher Shane Sdao will miss the 2025 season, the recent transfers are more important than ever. Pitching depth is extremely important with how much more stress pitchers are putting on their arms and they need to ensure they are getting proper rest.

One of those depth pieces for Texas A&M is transfer Myles Patton from Long Beach State. The left-handed pitcher has a great strikeout-to-walk ratio and can make a name for himself in the Aggie lineup now that Sdao is out. He already was expected to contribute immediately, and combined with the Aggie offense, A&M can provide he will be able to put a ton of pressure on batters to swing at his arsenal of pitches.

The coveted transfer landed in the No. 4 spot in D1Baseball’s top pitching transfers and just further solidified how huge of a pick-up Patton was for the 2025 season.
