After a chaotic summer, things have settled down for the Texas A&M baseball team. We got a small sample of the 2025 team during their Fall ball schedule when they lit up the scoreboard. First-year head coach Mike Earley was able to bring back a wealth of talent from the College World Series team. New got even better as he also maintained and signed a top-ten class.
Out of the 14 signees, they have four top 100 players with the highest overall ranking per player at 10.58 in the Perfect Game USA ratings. We’ll need to wait until after the MLB draft to see if all the signees make it on campus, but Coach Earley has pulled in a great class that can add depth at multiple positions. He is setting up the program to be a powerhouse for years to come.

2024 National Showcase Report:
Josiah Hartshorn is a 2025 OF/1B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Anaheim, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. Recorded a 6.65 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with a significant amount of strength and physicality to the build. Primary left-handed hitter with a medium base, open set up, and a quick leg lift trigger. Uphill stroke with impressive bat speed. Massive power at present to the pull side and power that will develop into all fields power. Tremendous student. Verbal commitment to Texas A&M. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
2024 National Showcase Report:
Nicholas Partida is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Manvel, TX who attends Pearland High School. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Primary shortstop who impressed more as a right handed pitcher at this event. Throws from an over the top arm slot with a high front side, has energy in his delivery but a very fast arm. Fastball sat in the 94-96 mph range with 19″ of IVB, getting on hitters quickly.
Curveball had big sweeping break, also flashed a change up. Has smooth footwork in the middle infield with clean glove actions and a quick exchange, made accurate throws with plenty of carry. Also worked out in the outfield and showed hi big arm strength there. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a deep hand load, level swing plane with plenty of bat speed, ball comes off the barrel hard, line drive hitter. Very good student, verbal commitment to Arizona State. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American…
