Texas A&M’s 2025 college baseball season is less than a month away. The Aggies will host Elon for a three-game home series starting on February 14. New head coach Mike Earley will make his debut after taking over the program early last fall.
Every college baseball fan, and sports fan in general, is now familiar with former coach Jim Schlossnagle’s shocking exit to take over the Texas Longhorns baseball program just days after the Aggies’ loss to Tennessee in the 2025 College World Series.
While Schlossnagle’s exit is now in the rearview mirror, A&M’s talented and experienced roster is ready to take the SEC by storm, led by the return of future first-round pick Jace LaViolette, sophomore third baseman Gavin Grahovic, and ace pitcher Ryan Prager.
However, several additions from the transfer portal, including former Texas Tech power hitter Gavin Kush and former Penn star Wyatt Henseler, have made A&M’s battling lineup challenging to predict. Pitching-wise, the starter, Justin Lamkin, returns, but the program will be without Shane Sdao after the sophomore sustains a late-season elbow injury.
Overall, Texas A&M’s roster is stacked, giving the Aggies a great chance to return to the College World Series and hopefully bring back some hardware this summer.
