Leading the Pack

  • Ryan Ferremi is leading the Danes’ offense, topping the leaderboard in home runs, RBIs, walks, hits and OPS.
  • Logan Morris has also been a key contributor early in his freshman campaign, leading the team with a .455 batting average and a .517 OB%.
  • Dylan Banner leads the pitching staff with a 1-0 record, and through 19.1 innings has a 3.72 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 12 strikeouts.

Last Time Out 

  • UAlbany has started the season 5-5 after being swept by Lamar on opening weekend, winning three of four against Longwood and then taking two of three against Hofstra.
  • On Friday (3/7) Junior Dylan Banner threw 8.0 innings allowing only two runs in a win over Hofstra.
  • On Saturday (3/8) the Danes secured another win behind Freshman arms Mark Gajowski, Tyler Kneller and Alex Enea.
  • As a team, the Danes are hitting .270 with a .389 OB% and a .371 SLG%.
  • On the mound, UAlbany has a 10.44 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 53 strikeouts through 81 innings.

 Scouting Army 

  • Army has started their season 3-9 after winning one out of three against North Alabama, then being swept by Wofford, and taking one out of three against both Air Force and Fordham. 
  • Army is led by Addison Ainsworth and Thomas Schreck offensively. Ainsworth leads the team with a .357 batting average, 1.005 OPS, fifteen hits, 11 walks twelve RBIs and ten runs scored. Schreck is hitting .308 with five doubles and twelve hits through twelve games.
  • On the mound the Black Knights are led by Justin Lehman, who through four starts holds a 3.04 ERA and a .242 batting average against.

Captains 
Dylan Banner, Ryan Ferremi and Matthew Mariano will serve as captains for the Great Danes during the 2025 season. Banner, a junior right-handed pitcher throughout his career, holds a career ERA of 4.31 over 64.2 innings. Prior to the season, Banner was named a Preseason All-Conference selection.
