SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame baseball team hits the road for an ACC series at Boston College. Game one of the three-game stint is now scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. with a second game to follow Friday evening.
THE MATCHUP
- Notre Dame comes into the weekend 15-15 overall and 3-12 in ACC.
- Boston College is 15-17 overall and 5-10 in league contests.
- The Irish swept the Eagles in 2024 at Frank Eck Stadium by 14-3 (7 innings), 9-4, and 13-0 (7 innings) scores.
- Notre Dame leads the all-time series 41-21.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Irish came up short in a midweek contest against Northwestern.
- The Irish struck first and made a late push against the Wildcats but fell short in a 9-7 final. Notre Dame batters were hit by seven pitches, including three by Estevan Moreno. Brady Koester needed just 14 pitches and used two strikeouts to retire the side in an inning of work out of the bullpen.
2025 CAPTAINS
The 2025 Irish baseball team will look to four captains to help guide the way this spring. John P. and Catherine Murphy Head Baseball Coach Shawn Stiffler announced graduate students OF Brady Gumpf and RHP Jackson Dennies, senior RHP Radek Birkholz, and junior INF Estevan Moreno as team captains for the season.
