Softball Set to Host No. 24 Georgia over Senior Weekend


COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball (23-29, 4-17 SEC) hosts No. 24 Georgia (29-17, 6-14 SEC) over Senior Weekend Thursday through Saturday at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

First pitch for the series opener is set for 6 p.m., CT on Thursday. The series will continue Friday at 5 p.m., CT before wrapping up Saturday at 1 p.m., CT. All three games will be streamed on SEC Network+. Nate Gatter and former Mizzou softball player and NFCA All-Region pitcher Madi Norman Gerlach will be in the booth throughout the series.

Missouri is ranked 32nd in the latest NCAA RPI rankings. MU is also third for toughest schedule and strength of schedule.

The right field gate will be open as an entrance all series long.

PROMOTION SCHEDULE

Thursday vs. No. 24 Georgia – Columbia Carnival

  • It’s a Columbia Carnival at Mizzou Softball Stadium on Thursday night with Inflatable Carnival Games and Face Painting on the Berm. Fans in attendance will receive Mizzou Squishmallows, while supplies last. Mizzou football will be signing autographs from 5-6 p.m. by the front entrance.
  • Mizzou women’s basketball head coach Kellie Harper will throw out the first ceremonial first pitch Thursday.

Friday vs. No. 24 Georgia – Senior Night

  • Fans in attendance will receive replica softball jerseys, while supplies last. Mizzou will recognize its five seniors in Taylor Ebbs, Mya Dodge, Jayci Kruse, Kara Daly and Julia Crenshaw following the game.  First pitch will feature the Tiger seniors throwing to both of their parents. Mizzou gymnastics will be signing autographs on the Berm throughout the game.

Saturday vs. No. 24 Georgia – Summer Bash

  • There will be Inflatables in the Berm. Fans in attendance will receive ice cream, while supplies last. The Tigers will sign postgame autographs and kids can run the bases sponsored by Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance featuring Hometown Tiger Taylor Pannell.
