Cal Faces Georgia Tech In First Round Of ACC Championship
The ninth-seeded California softball team (35-18, 11-13 ACC) will open postseason play in the first round of the ACC Championship against eight-seeded Georgia Tech (26-21, 10-11 ACC) on Wednesday at Harrington Athletics Village in Brighton, Massachusetts.
The Golden Bears will make their first-ever appearance in the ACC Championship, facing off against the Yellow Jackets for the fourth time this season. The contest is slated for 8 a.m. PT and will air on ACCNX/ESPN+. With a win, Cal would advance to the quarterfinals to square off against No. 1 seed Florida State on Thursday at 8 a.m. PT.
