TUCSON, Ariz. – The 13-seeded Arizona Wildcats (48-13) closed out their season at the Tucson Regional. The Wildcats won the first game of the day, 10-1 in five innings, against Ole Miss to force game 7. Arizona then fell, 7-3, in the second game.

Arizona run-ruled Ole Miss in game 6 of the Tucson Regional to force game 7. The Wildcats scored 10 runs on 12 hits and hit two home runs in the victory. Sydney Stewart led the team with three RBI while Kaiah Altmeyer, Dakota Kennedy, and Regan Shockey all recorded two hits.
The Wildcats came out strong, scoring four runs in the top of the first to take an early lead over the Rebels. Devyn Netz drove in the first run with a double to left center. Stewart extended Arizona’s lead to 4-0 with a three-run shot to right center – her 19th home run of the season.
Ole Miss plated one on a solo home run in the bottom of the first.
Arizona scored three more to extend the Wildcats’ lead to 7-1 in the second inning. Kennedy drove in a pair with a triple down the right field line and then slid home to score on a fielder’s choice from Shockey.
In the third, Shockey recorded her second RBI of the game when she drove Tayler Biehl home with a single to left field.
