COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team has been recognized with the 2024-25 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, announced by the ABCA on Wednesday.
The Buckeyes had a strong year in the classroom, finishing the school year with a team cumulative GPA of 3.37. 36 student-athletes had a GPA of 3.0 or better and 17 Buckeyes had a GPA of 3.5 or better. 12 student-athletes earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and 29 were named Ohio State Scholar Athletes.

In order to earn the award, teams had to meet the following criteria: be a college or high school team, the head coach is a current ABCA member and the team had a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the conclusion of the 2024-25 school year.
