Brady Rourke, Associate Athletic Director and the Director of the Gossett Student Athlete Center (GSAC), takes pride in that number and lauds the faculty and staff for making the postgraduate programs enticing.
“Maryland is honored to recognize student-athletes competing this academic year who have earned their undergraduate degree,” Rourke said. “The breadth of graduate program opportunities continues to attract student-athletes with impressive undergraduate credentials from institutions across the country. The graduation patch visually represents the ultimate accomplishment associated with the student-athlete experience. It is inspiring to witness the drive and determination of student-athletes who don the patch and continue their educational journey as graduate students. University of Maryland Graduate Program Directors and Graduate Admissions staff are phenomenal colleagues who believe in the student-athlete experience and value the experience, perspective, and skill student-athletes bring to the classroom.”
Additionally, 13 of the graduate students are double-Terps, student-athletes who will finish with both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Maryland.
