Hanahan, S.C. — Clemson women’s golf opened play at the Cougar Classic on Monday with two strong rounds, finishing the day in third place at 15-under par. The Tigers trail only Tennessee (-19) and Ole Miss (-16) heading into Tuesday’s final round at Yeamans Hall Club.
Sarah Uebelhart led the way with a 5-under 66 in the afternoon round, highlighted by four birdies on her back nine. She sits tied for second with five other golfers at 6-under after 36 holes.
Reigning Tiger Classic co-champion Juliette Demeaux carded an opening 69 followed by a 70 to stand at 3-under and inside the top 15 individually.
Sydney Roberts produced one of the biggest bounce-back performances of the day, posting rounds of 76 and 65 to close at 1-under, tied for 26th overall. Her second-round 65 was the lowest score of the day across the field.
Isabella Rawl (+2) and Keya Naik (+1) rounded out the lineup, while Ivy Schulze, competing as an individual, shot 70-70 to be at 2-under and inside the top 20.
