Blacksburg – The Virginia Tech volleyball program captured two victories on Carilion Clinic Court Friday to go 3-0 at the Hokie Invitational. In the morning Tech took care of Maryland Eastern Shore 3-1 and returned in the evening to defeat Robert Morris 3-0.
Against the Hawks, Tech was led by Isabella Mishler who recorded a career-best 13 kills. She was joined in double figures by Payton Woods, who had 10. At the net, freshman Brianna Holladay had eight block assists.
In the evening session,Holladay got off to a hot start with seven first set kills and her teammates Woods (8), Ainsley Ranstead (9) and Reese Hazelton (12) continued the offensive momentum.

•Tech is back on Carillon Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum for the Virginia Tech Classic where they will host Middle Tennessee, Radford and East Tennessee State. Tech will take on the Buccaneers on Thursday, Sept. 18 and then Friday’s matchups will be determined by results.
