A total of 17 Nebraska softball players earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the 2024 season. All 17 Huskers have been an an Academic All-Big Ten selection every eligible season of their careers.
Nebraska’s honorees were highlighted by Brooke Andrews and Sydney Gray. Andrews was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team for the fourth time in her career, becoming just the third Husker to be a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. Gray was one of 115 spring student-athletes across the Big Ten to have a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average.
Gray earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten team for the third time in her career, as did Billie Andrews, Caitlynn Neal, Abbey Newlun, Kaylin Kinney and Abbie Squier. Ava Bredwell and Mckinley Malecha were both named Academic All-Big Ten for the second straight season. Bella Bacon, Katelyn Caneda, Dakota Carter, Alina Felix, Sarah Harness, Ashley Smetter, Talia Tokheim and Haidyn Warner all earned a spot on the Academic All-Big Ten team in their first season of eligibility for the award.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
