TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (26-17) dropped a midweek contest to the Grand Canyon Antelopes (26-18) on a final score of 24-8 on Tuesday night at Hi Corbett Field.
Right fielder Emilio Corona and designated hitter Blake McDonald led the charge on offense for the Wildcats, with both players collecting a pair of hits. Second baseman Garen Caulfield and first baseman Andrew Cain both drove in two runs, with Caulfield’s coming on his fourth home run of the season.
The Wildcats used 10 pitchers to cover seven innings, with right-hander Kyler Heyne (0.1 IP) and southpaw Eric Orloff (0.1 IP) both posting scoreless outings.
