SEATTLE – Looking to keep the good times rolling, Washington opens up Pac-12 play at its home park this weekend, taking on Utah in a three-game series at Husky Ballpark Friday through Sunday, March 10-12.

 

All three games will be aired on your television set. Friday’s game will be on Pac-12 Mountain, while Saturday’s matchup will air on Pac-12 Washington. Sunday’s finale will be available on both channels. Live stats are available at HuskyStats.com.

• Riding a 14-game home winning streak, Washington returns to Husky Ballpark to open Pac-12 play, taking on Utah in a three-game series.

• Friday’s game is UW’s Military Appreciation Game, with discount tickets being offered to veterans and active military members.

• Saturday’s affair is the first Bark at the Park game. A Bark at the Park package must be purchased for canine entry.

• In its last home series, the Huskies outscored Northern Colorado 57-12 during their four-game series.

• Striking out 10 of the 18 batters he faced against UNC, Kiefer Lord was named the Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, the Perfect Game National Pitcher of the Week and one of four nominees for the Golden Spikes Performer of the Week.

• UW is receiving votes in the most recent USA Today Coaches Poll and the NCBWA Poll. The Dawgs are ranked No. 11 in the West by D1Baseball.

SERIES HISTORY VS. UTAH

In the somewhat brief history of the Washington vs. Utah series, compared to other Pac-12 opponents, the Huskies have fared relatively well, holding a 24-11 advantage in the 35-game history of the series. The Dawgs have won 11-of-15 matchups in Seattle, including taking 2-of-3 games with a pair of one-run victories at Husky Ballpark in 2021.

THROUGH THE QUAD

Washington is one of the hottest teams in the nation, winning nine straight games. The streak is the longest in the Pac-12 and eighth longest in the nation. Dating back to the 2022 season, the Huskies have won 22 of their last 24 games during the regular season.

After throwing six perfect innings with 10 strikeouts in last Saturday’s 6-0 shutout win over Northern Colorado, Kiefer Lord caught the eyes of the nation.
