LYNCHBURG, Va. —The No. 16/18 Virginia Tech Hokies took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed from there on the way to a 4-1 victory over the Liberty Flames on Wednesday.
Junior Emma Lemley (12-5) started in the circle and picked up the win for Virginia Tech (39-11-1). The right-hander went seven innings, giving up one run on six hits, allowing two walks and striking out seven.
