Panthers to Participate in Little League Girls with Game Experience


PITTSBURGH – The Pitt softball team will be participating in the 2024 Little League Girls with Game Experience, Oct. 11-12, at Howard J. Lamade Stadium, the home of the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pa. The Panthers will face Penn State in an exhibition game on Oct. 12 at 4:30 p.m.

Pitt is one of four NCAA Division I programs participating in the event, joining Penn State, Maryland and Virginia. All four programs will take part in a three-hour clinic on Saturday, Oct. 12 before a pair of back-to-back exhibition games. Maryland and Virginia kick things off at 2 p.m. with the Panthers and Nittany Lions facing off at 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the all-day event on Saturday, Little League Softball® coaches will have the exclusive opportunity to participate in a coaches’ clinic on Friday, Oct. 11, from 5-8 p.m. The clinic will be hosted by college coaches, including Pitt assistant pitching coach and two-time Women’s Professional Fastpitch (WPF) Champion Jordan Dail.

The registration fee for the softball clinic is $90 and will cover a clinic T-shirt, admission to the World of Little League® Museum, lunch, and special seating at the exhibition games. To learn more, and register for this year’s event, please visit LittleLeague.org/GWGExperience.

 The exhibition games are free and open to the public and no ticket is required. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Concessions will be available.
