Panthers Set to Open Season at NFCA Leadoff Classic


LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Pitt softball team will open the 2025 season at the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, Feb. 6-9, at the Eddie C. More Complex in Clearwater, Fla. The Panthers will play five games over the three-day tournament, as announced by the association Monday afternoon.

The Panthers will open the tournament Feb. 7, with a doubleheader against Kentucky and Morgan State and follow with another doubleheader Feb. 8 against Southern Mississippi and Kennesaw State. Pitt will close out the tournament with a single game against Tennessee on Feb. 9.

All games will be streamed live (free) on the GameChanger App with contests on fields 8 and 9 featuring a dedicated broadcast team and a multi-camera view.

Pitt is one of 17 programs participating in the tournament and will make their second appearance in the classic after participating during the 2023 season.
